FALL 2005: ENTR 200 Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The objective of the course is to teach students about starting and running their own businesses. It can be taken as a stand-alone course or as the first requirement for the new Undergraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Examples of topics covered in the course include:

  • Aptitude and roles of entrepreneurs
  • Risk taking
  • Resource management
  • Market analysis
  • Start-up procedures
  • Business and commercialization plans
  • Structuring organizations to foster innovation and entrepreneurship

SPRING 2006: ENTR 201 Entrepreneurship and Innovation II

Professor Sandra Liu

The objective of this course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of contemporary issues in business principles and practices for entrepreneurs. The scope is across both private and public sectors and in both local and international settings. Speakers with broad and extensive experience from both industry and academia will participate in the course. Examples of topics covered in the course include:

  • Marketing and selling
  • Finance and accounting
  • Project management
  • Team building
  • Leadership
  • Ethics
